R

Recognize the Imposter Loop

Identify the "Controller" behavior — taking on every project and meeting just to feel safe and relevant.

A

Acknowledge & Reframe the Story

Stop making jokes about your background. Recognize that your unique origin is a competitive advantage, not a liability.

R

Real Depth Over Volume

Real leadership value isn't about how much you carry. It's what happens to the room when you are involved.

R

Real Connection, Not Networking

Find your "Mirror" to see the real you, and your "Challenger" to push you past your safe zones.

E

Evidence — Build Your Brag Book

Maintain a specific, dated evidence file of your wins to silence the internal voice telling you you're a fraud.

The thesis

The voice telling you you're a fraud is not the truth. It is a habit. And every habit can be unlearned.

— From the introduction

The most capable leaders in the room often carry the loudest internal voice telling them they don't belong there. RARRE is the method for breaking that loop.

This is not a book about confidence hacks. It is a structural retraining of how you carry your story, how you show up, and how you keep evidence of your own work. The premise is simple and uncomfortable: you are not performing your way into exceptional. You are being it, and you have not been counting.

The five moves — Recognize, Acknowledge, Real depth, Real connection, and Evidence — are the practice. The output is a leader who stops auditioning for a role they already hold.

About the author

Twenty years inside the rooms where leaders are made.

Jami Adkins spent more than two decades helping companies hire, develop, and retain leaders — including years inside Amazon's talent organization, where she watched the most capable people quietly carry the heaviest imposter syndrome.

She kept noticing the same thing. The leaders who were most often called exceptional were the ones who had never quite believed it. They controlled, they over-volunteered, they performed. They did not, on the whole, feel like leaders. They felt like they were getting away with something.

RARRE is the method she has built and refined with hundreds of clients to break that loop. It is the playbook for the leader who has done the work, and now needs the language to stop auditioning for it.
